What Surprised and What I Liked About Ireland
- Crossing on a Red Light: In Ireland, itโs completely normal to cross the street on a red light. Pedestrians donโt wait for the green; they just cross even when the light is red. At first, this is surprising, but after a few days, youโll start doing the same, and the red light doesnโt seem that important anymore.
- Friendliness of People: The Irish are so friendly, itโs amazing. They always smile, even the police greet you. The atmosphere in the country is so warm and welcoming that at some point, youโll want to stay longer just to become a bit kinder.
- Thanking Bus Drivers: Another interesting observation โ when Irish people get off the bus, they always say โThank youโ to the driver. At first, I was surprised, but it quickly became a pleasant habit.
- No Complaints About the Weather: Regardless of whether itโs raining, snowing, or windy, people here never complain about the weather. Parks are always full, even when itโs cold or rainy outside. People run in shorts and t-shirts as if itโs 25ยฐC outside.
These little details make Ireland unique and unforgettable!
